Fantastic experience: I'm visiting Darwin and wanted a quick #1 re-clip, trim of my simple cut, as I regularly do. Captain Barber took me as a walk-in (excellent) and I walked out with one of the best cuts I've had. I looked good. The staff knew what they were doing, and in the short time I was there they really looked after me, and the small touches like the warm towelling made it a pleasant experience. Thanks Captain Barber

Negative experience: Got one of the worst haircut of my life from here. Been a regular there for 2 years and this time the guy made me look like a dumb because he had little time with him. If they are in a rush just beware of what they will do to your hair.

Negative experience: Do not go here. Guy only pretends he understands English. Went in for a hair trim and a CLIPPER beard trim. Had to argue with the guy multiple times because he was saying yes to my requests then continue doing what he wanted. Wanted cash payment and gave no receipt. Sixty freaking five dollars. For me to exit with loose long hairs all over my beard and head. Had to adjust the mess by myself at home!

Negative experience: So booked in for a haircut yesterday at 4:35pm wanted the side part zero skin fade to the skin , with the back a mullet , I showed the barber a picture before hand , and told him to shave off my beard , he then proceeded to style my beard like the photo , my email said it would be 45$ he then styled my hair , hot towel after giving my beard the lines that I wanted gone, to then trim my nose hair , give me a head arm and back massage , to try and charge me $76 and this guy didn’t have a word of English , so he didn’t understand a word I said to him , All I came in for was a haircut not a happy ending. My hair isn’t even faded correctly , very poor job

Negative experience: Went in for a skinfade and walked away without one and $75 down the drain, barbers were nice enough but imo not experienced enough and for the money you pay in my eyes was a rip off, don’t usually write reviews but don’t want someone else walking away dissapointed!

Negative experience: I asked for a buzz cut but was given a different cut and was charged nearly $42 instead of $33. Last time I go there as they do and charge different as ask to make a few extra $$

Negative experience: This is the most terrible barber shop in Darwin. I had my son's hair cut by a lady who used zero size throughout the head, and she charged me $45 for a haircut that only took 5 minutes. I wouldn't recommend it for small kids this place.

Positive experience: Got a haircut from Captain Barber. I don't know the name of the barber but it was a lady. I did the haircut yesterday at around 1:20pm. I was booked for 1:30. Came home disappointed. I will need to get it done again coz I can't really go to work with this hair. On the positive note, customer service was great and the head massage at the end of the haircut was amazing hence 3 stars.

Negative experience: My partner and I went here and he got a haircut. And its been a day and he is still unconsolable :( He requested for a simple fade out but got his hair almost shaved off!!! He was livid! Luckily, he was stern in not cutting the top bits and that somehow gives him comfort. Bad experience overall. Definitely not coming back.

Negative experience: I don’t usually do google reviews or do reviews but this time is an exception for this horrible experience. The worst barber ever! Firstly I made a booking for haircut and beard. When I arrived, they told me it’s almost closing time so only haircut. Fine, no big deal. But the barber I got was horrible. I told him not to cut too low on the side but literally shaved it off. I asked for skin fade but got almost skin head in the side. Not even lined up properly. Very disappointed. Defo not going back!

She did a great job and did my hair exactly as I'd asked. The head massage was an awesome touch as well. Shame I don't live in Darwin or I'd be back for all my haircuts.
